  • OVERVIEW

    This program aims to provide educators who are able to lead, innovate, and commit to addressing the needs of students with special needs (SEN) in line with the Malaysian Special Education Philosophy. This program also aims to produce educators who have broad and deep knowledge of teaching and learning theory and best practices in special education.

    This program can also produce professional educators who can educate students with special needs (SEN) especially in courses related to Learning Disabilities, Visual Impairment, and Hearing Impairment. Students in this program are also required to undergo Internship and Teaching Practicum.

    This program aims to produce educators who are able to use information and communication technology (ICT) and assistive technology (AT) and are able to apply it in the teaching and learning process; as well as making networking with the government, private sector, industry and community. Therefore,this program aims to produce educators who can plan, evaluate, publish, and disseminate knowledge through research in the field of special education to meet the aspirations of the national and international society.

  • REQUIREMENTS

      • Passed SPM / SPMV / or equivalent with CREDIT in the subjects of Malay Language / Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Malaysia July and passed the subject of History.
      • Achieved at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent within one (1) year from the date of registration.

      Note:

      Passing the History subject at the SPM level is effective starting from the year 2013.
      • Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate Examination (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00

      AND

      • Achieved at least a Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects from the Science or Arts stream

      AND

      • Has experience as a state or national athlete who has been actively participating for at least three (3) years

      AND

      • Outstanding performance in the interview assessment
