  • OVERVIEW

    To produce education officers in the field of TESOL who are professional, dedicated, innovative and critical thinkers. This program provides specialized training in the field of education and also focuses on the subject matter specialization in the field of TESOL. Trainees are also exposed Interactive Multimedia courses as open elective subjects.

  • REQUIREMENTS

      • Passed SPM / SPMV / or equivalent with CREDIT in the subjects of Malay Language / Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Malaysia July and passed the subject of History.
      • Achieved at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent within one (1) year from the date of registration.

      Note:

      Passing the History subject at the SPM level is effective starting from the year 2013.
    • KELAYAKAN MINIMUM STPMKELAYAKAN MINIMUM MATRIKULASI KPM / ASASI UM / ASASI UKM / ASASI UITMDIPLOMA / A-LEVEL, IB, AUSMAT,SAM & OTHERS
      KELAYAKAN MINIMUM STPM:

        i. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) Examination with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

        AND

        ii. Obtain at least Grade B (NGMP 3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:
        • Malay Language
        • Geography
        • History
        • Economics
        • Communicative Malay Literature (Kesusasteraan Melayu Komunikatif)
        • Literature in English
        • Accounting
        • Business Studies
        • Biology
        • Physics
        • Chemistry
        • Mathematics M / Mathematics T

        AND

        iii. Obtain at least a credit in English Language and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level.

        AND

        iv. Obtain at least Band 4.0 in MUET or an equivalent qualification.

        AND

        v. Pass the MEDSI test and excel in the interview assessment.

        AND

        vi. Has experience as a state or national athlete who has been actively participating for at least three (3) years

        Trained teachers are not eligible to apply for this program.
        KELAYAKAN MINIMUM MATRIKULASI KPM / ASASI UM / ASASI UKM / ASASI UITM:

        i. Pass the KPM Matriculation / UM Foundation / UKM Foundation / UiTM Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

        AND

        ii. Obtain at least Grade B (3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:
        • Physics
        • Chemistry
        • Biology
        • Mathematics
        • Accounting
        • Financial Accounting
        • Management Accounting
        • Business Management
        • Business and Technology
        • Economics
        • Principles of Economics
        • Writing and Research Skills

        OR

        ii. Obtain at least Grade B (3.00) in three (3) subjects from the UiTM Foundation in TESL programme.

        AND

        iii. Obtain at least a credit in English and pass Mathematics at the SPM level.

        AND

        iv. Obtain at least Band 4.0 in MUET or an equivalent qualification.

        AND

        v. Pass the MEDSI test and excel in the interview assessment.

        AND

        vi. Has experience as a state or national athlete who has been actively participating for at least three (3) years

        Trained teachers are not eligible to apply for this program.
        DIPLOMA / A-LEVEL, IB, AUSMAT,SAM & OTHERS:

        Possess a Diploma in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

        OR

        Pass A-Level with a minimum score of 9 and obtain at least a Grade C in any two (2) subjects.

        OR

        Pass the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 26 and obtain at least a score of 4 in any two (2) subjects at the High Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL).

        OR

        Pass AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtain at least a Grade C in any two (2) subjects.

        OR

        Hold other qualifications recognized as equivalent and endorsed by the University Senate.

        AND

        Obtain at least a credit in English and pass Mathematics at the SPM level.

        AND

        Achieve at least Band 4.0 in MUET or an equivalent qualification.

        AND

        Pass the MEDSI test and excel in the interview assessment.

        AND

        vi. Has experience as a state or national athlete who has been actively participating for at least three (3) years
