  • OVERVIEW

    The INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY program emphasizes on the use of fundamental chemistry such as physical, organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry within industrial applications. This program aims to improve practical skills and analytical skills relevant to industrial processes. The program specializes in materials, operational units, industrial chemistry, safety issues and chemical processing. It also provides connections for pathways to other science-based fields.

    Lectures will be mainly delivered in English

  • REQUIREMENTS

    • MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTSHIGH SCHOOL CERTIFICATES DIPLOMA / A-LEVEL, IB, AUSMAT,SAM & OTHERS
      MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

      ACADEMIC

      • Completed 12 years of Primary and High School Education and
      • Obtained High School Certificate (eg. A‐Level, HSC, SMU, & Matayom Suksa 6 (Thailand), International Baccalaureate ) or
      • Diploma in related field

      ENGLISH

          • IELTS/ IELTS Online minimum Band 5.0
          • TOEFL iBT minimum score of 40
          • TOEFL Essentials Online minimum score of 7.5
          • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) minimum score of 154 or
          • Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) minimum score of 154 or
          • Cambridge English: Linguaskill Online minimum score of 154 or
          • PTE Academic / PTE Academic(Online) minimum score of 47 or
          • ELS Certified Intensive English Programme Level (CIEP Level) 107 or
          • Malaysian University English Test minimum Band 3.5 or
          • Candidate from an institution in which the medium of instruction is English

          Without any of the above English proficiency certificates, accepted students will receive a conditional offer letter requiring them to meet the English language requirements.

          Note: Candidates do not have visual impairment (color blind) and do not have physical disability making it difficult for practical work.

          INTERVIEW

          Candidates must undergo an interview session before being accepted by the respective faculty
          HIGH SCHOOL CERTIFICATES :

          Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 3.00

          And

          Minimum grade B in subjects below:

          • Chemistry
          • Mathematics

          Note: Grading system is referred to each country academics qualifications
          DIPLOMA / A-LEVEL, IB, AUSMAT,SAM & OTHERS:

          Obtained Diploma in related fields with minimum CGPA of 3.00

          And

          Provided the course is not less than 5 semesters or 2 ½ years in the same accredited institution.

          And

          Obtained High School Certificate Level or its equivalent with minimum entry qualification of CGPA 3.00 and minimum grade B in subjects below:

          • Chemistry
          • Mathematics

          ‘A’ LEVEL CANDIDATES
          (AQA, Brunei, Cambridge, Edexcel, London, Maldives)

          • ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level result slip and certificates
          • Passed ‘A’ Level with minimum score of 10 and minimum grade B in subjects below:
            • Chemistry
            • Mathematics

          AND

          • Minimum grade C in Physics

          AUSTRALIAN HIGH SCHOOL CANDIDATES

          Passed SAM / AUSMAT with minimum aggregate of 68 and the equivalent of B in subjects below i.e.

          • Chemistry
          • Mathematics

          AND

          • Minimum grade C in Physics

          INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB) DIPLOMA CANDIDATES

          • Passed IB diploma with 28 points
          • Minimum of 6 score at High Level (HL) subjects below:
            • Chemistry
            • Mathematics

          • 4 score at Standard Level (SL) in Physics.

          • Selected applied industrial chemistry courses. Industrial Training is compulsory in the final semester.
