0006 - OFF-SHORE PROGRAMME - International Medical Programme (IMP) - USM-KLE
OVERVIEW
The USM-KLE International Medical Program at Belgaum India is designed to provide a clinical and non-clinical approach to student in accordance to the structure, function, biochemical process of human being which form the pathophysiology and clinical basis of diseases. A study on bioethics, social health, communication skills, behavioural science, first aid and exposure to clinical environment in the hospital and in the community are also provided to the students. The teaching and learning is integrated in order to obtain education yield which are related between the disciplines. The concept of a competent medical practitioner envisaged by the School of Medical Sciences is a doctor who is at the time of graduation is equipped with a spectrum of medical knowledge and skills, which can be used in solving the problems of individuals and society. KLE or “Karnataka Lingayat Education” Society was established by seven dedicated teachers and three founders. Their objectives are to conduct wide and good teaching and educational activities in the main region of Karnataka and Southern Maharashtra. With more than 9 decades of involvement in the field of education, University KLE and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) had become a big consortium recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, India.
