  • OVERVIEW

    The ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY program emphasizes fundamental chemistry to develop a solid foundation of theoretical and practical skills and meet the needs of more advanced chemical concepts and contemporary issues in analytical chemistry. The experience of using scientific tools and the latest chemical techniques will spark students' interest in continuing their research interests and can help in applying chemistry to solve problems.

  • REQUIREMENTS

    • STPMKPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
      STPM:

      i. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) Examination with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

      AND

      ii. Obtain at least Grade B (NGMP 3.00) in the following subjects:
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics T

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in the subject of Physics.
      KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):

      i. Pass the KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

      AND

      ii. Obtain at least Grade B (3.00) in the following subjects:
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics

      AND

      iii. Obtain at least Grade C (2.00) in Physics.
      Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:

      Possess a Diploma in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      OR

      Pass A-Level with a minimum score of 10 and obtain at least Grade B in the following subjects:
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics

      AND

      Obtain at least Grade C in Physics.

      OR

      Pass the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 28 and obtain at least a score of 6 at the Higher Level (HL) in the following subjects:
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics

      AND

      Obtain at least a score of 4 at the Standard Level (SL) in Physics..

      OR

      Pass AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtain at least Grade B in the following subjects:
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics

      AND

      Obtain at least Grade C in Physics.

      OR

      Possess other equivalent qualifications recognized by the university and approved by the Senate.

    • Selected applied analytical chemistry courses. Industrial Training in the final semester.
