OVERVIEW
Bachelor of Music with Honours is a 3 ½ year program offered by the School of The Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in music to succeed in the music industry.

REQUIREMENTS

STPM KPM MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION STUDIES (UM/UKM/UiTM) DIPLOMA / EQUIVALENT – A-LEVEL, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, AND OTHERS STPM:i. Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
AND
ii. Obtain at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects
AND
iii. Possess at least one of the following qualifications:
- Grade 5 Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music, London (ABRSM) / Trinity College London
- Sijil Yamaha Certificate Grade 7
- LTCL / ATCL Diploma from Trinity College London
- Grade B- in Music at the SPM level
- Other recognized Music Certificates
AND
iv. Obtain at least MUET Band 3.0 or equivalent
AND
v. Excel in the interview and audition / skill test.
KPM MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION STUDIES (UM/UKM/UiTM):i. Pass Matriculation Programme / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
AND
ii. Obtain at least Grade C (2.00) in any two (2) subjects.
OR
ii. Obtain at least Grade C (2.00) in three (3) subjects at the UiTM TESL Foundation level.
OR
ii. Obtain at least Grade C (2.00) in three (3) specialisation subjects at the UiTM Foundation in Law level.
AND
iii. Possess at least one of the following qualifications:
- Grade 5 Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music, London (ABRSM) / Trinity College London
- Sijil Yamaha Certificate Grade 7
- LTCL / ATCL Diploma from Trinity College London
- Grade B- in Music at the SPM level
- Other recognized Music Certificates
AND
iv. Obtain at least Band 3.0 in MUET or its equivalent
AND
v. Excel in the interview and audition/skill test.
DIPLOMA / EQUIVALENT – A-LEVEL, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, AND OTHERS:Possess a Diploma in the related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
OR
Pass A-Level with a minimum score of 9 and obtain at least Grade C in any two (2)
OR
Pass the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 26 and obtain at least score 4 in any combination of two (2) subjects at High Level (HL) and one (1) subject at Standard Level (SL).
OR
Pass AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtain at least Grade C in any two (2) subjects.
OR
Possess other qualifications recognized as its equivalent and approved by the University Senate.
AND
Possess at least one of the following qualifications:
- Grade 5 Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music, London (ABRSM) / Trinity College London
- Yamaha Certificate Grade 7
- LTCL / ATCL Diploma from Trinity College London
- Grade B- in Music at the SPM level
