  • OVERVIEW

    To produce education officers in the field of TESOL who are professional, dedicated, innovative and critical thinkers. This program provides specialized training in the field of education and also focuses on the subject matter specialization in the field of TESOL. Trainees are also exposed Interactive Multimedia courses as open elective subjects.

  • REQUIREMENTS

    • STPMKPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
      STPM:

      i. Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • Malay Language
      • Geography
      • History
      • Economics
      • Communicative Malay Literature
      • Literature in English
      • Accounting
      • Business Studies
      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics M / Mathematics T

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a credit in English and passed Mathematics at the SPM level.

      AND

      iv. Achieved at least Band 4 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or its equivalent.

      AND

      v. Passed the MEDSI test and excellent in the interview.

       

      Note:
      Candidates must not have any physical disabilities or health conditions that could affect their studies or the teaching profession.

      Trained teachers are not eligible to apply for this program.
      KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):

      i. Passed Matriculation (KPM) / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Biology
      • Mathematics
      • Accounting
      • Financial Accounting
      • Management Accounting
      • Business Management
      • Business and Technology
      • Economics
      • Principles of Economics
      • Writing and Research Skills

      OR

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (3.00) in three (3) subjects at the TESL Foundation level at UiTM.

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a credit in English and passed Mathematics at the SPM level.

      AND

      iv. Achieved at least Band 4 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or its equivalent.

      AND

      v. Passed the MEDSI test and excellent in the interview.

       

      Note:
      Candidates must not have any physical disabilities or health conditions that could affect their studies or the teaching profession.

      Trained teachers are not eligible to apply for this program.
      Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:

      Diploma in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      OR

      A-Level with a minimum score of 9 and obtained at least a Grade C in any two (2) subjects.

      OR

      International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 26 and obtained at least a score of 4 in any two (2) subjects at the High Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL).

      OR

      AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtained at least a Grade C in any two (2) subjects.

      OR

      Equivalent qualification recognized by Senate of the University.

      AND

      Obtained at least a credit in English and passed Mathematics at the SPM level.

      AND

      Achieved at least Band 4 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or its equivalent.

      AND

      Passed the MEDSI test and excellent in the interview.

    • STPMMatrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTMDiploma / Setaraf – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM dan lain-lain
      STPM:

      i. Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      DAN

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (NGMP 3.00) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Bahasa Melayu
      • Geografi
      • Sejarah
      • Ekonomi
      • Kesusasteraan Melayu Komunikatif
      • Literature in English
      • Perakaunan
      • Pengajian Perniagaan
      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics M / Mathematics T

      DAN

      iii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya kepujian dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggeris dan lulus Matematik pada peringkat SPM.

      DAN

      iv. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 4 (Band 4) dalam MUET atau setaraf.

      DAN

      v. Lulus dalam ujian MEDSI dan Cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga.


      Nota:
      Calon tidak mempunyai ketidakupayaan fizikal atau masalah kesihatan yang boleh menjejaskan pengajian dan profesion perguruan.

      Guru terlatih tidak layak memohon program ini.

       
      Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM:

      i. Lulus Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      DAN

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (3.00) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Biology
      • Mathematics
      • Accounting
      • Financial Accounting / Perakaunan Kewangan
      • Management Accounting / Perakaunan Pengurusan
      • Pengurusan Perniagaan
      • Business and Technology
      • Ekonomi
      • Prinsip Ekonomi
      • Kemahiran Menulis dan Penyelidikan

      ATAU

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (3.00) dalam tiga (3) mata pelajaran pada peringkat Asasi TESL UiTM.

      DAN

      iii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya kepujian dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggeris dan lulus Matematik pada peringkat SPM.

      DAN

      vi. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 4 (Band 4) dalam MUET atau setaraf.

      DAN

      v. Lulus dalam ujian MEDSI dan cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga.

       

      Nota:
      Calon tidak mempunyai ketidakupayaan fizikal atau masalah kesihatan yang boleh menjejaskan pengajian dan profesion perguruan.

      Diploma / Setaraf – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM dan lain-lain:

      Memiliki Diploma dalam bidang yang berkaitan dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      ATAU

      Lulus A-Level dengan memperolehi minimum skor 9 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred C dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran.

      ATAU

      Lulus International Baccalaureate (IB) dengan memperolehi minimum skor 26 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya skor 4 dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran di peringkat High Level (HL) atau Standard Level (SL).

      ATAU

      Lulus AUSMAT/SAM dengan memperolehi minimum agregat 68 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred C dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran.

      ATAU

      Mempunyai kelulusan lain yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya dan diperakukan oleh Senat Universiti.

      DAN

      Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya kepujian dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggeris dan lulus Matematik pada peringkat SPM.

      DAN

      Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 4 (Band 4) dalam MUET atau setaraf.

      DAN

      Lulus dalam ujian MEDSI dan cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga.
