OVERVIEW
Mechanical Engineering programme offers theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing students for diverse engineering careers through hands-on experience, innovative projects, and industry internships for real-world application. The programme relates with various industries such as power plant, heavy machinery, mechatronics, construction, engineering product development, bio-medical and medical equipment as well as material and food processing. Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering programme provides interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in applied mechanics, thermofluids, manufacturing technology, mathematics, and engineering design.

REQUIREMENTS

STPM KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others STPM:i. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) Examination with a minimum CGPA of 2.75.ANDii. Obtain at least Grade B- (NGMP 2.67) in the following subjects:• Physics• Mathematics TKPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):i. Pass the KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75ANDii. Obtain at least a Grade B- (2.67) in the following subjects:• Mathematics• Physics / Engineering Physics / Basic Engineering / Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics EngineeringDiploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:Hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum CGPA of2.75ORPass A-Level with a minimum score of 10 and obtain at least Grade C in the following subjects:• Mathematics / Further Mathematics• PhysicsORPass the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 28 and obtain at least a score of 4 at the Higher Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL) in the following subjects:• Mathematics / Further Mathematics / Mathematical Studies / Mathematical Methods• PhysicsORPass AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtain at least Grade C in the following subjects:• Mathematical Studies / Specialist Mathematics• PhysicsORHold other qualifications recognized as equivalent and endorsed by the University Senate.
