OVERVIEW
The DDS programme is a five-year programme. Its curriculum is integrated, problem-based and community oriented.
Year 1 : Basic Foundation in Medical and Dental Sciences
Year 2 : Pre-Clinical Dental and Medical Sciences & Medical Clinical Sciences

REQUIREMENTS

STPM KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others STPM:i. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with a minimum CGPA of 3.50
AND
ii. Obtain at least Grade B (NGMP 3.00) in three (3) of the following subjects:• Biology• Chemistry• Physics / Mathematics TAND
iii. Obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in five (5) of the following subjects:• Biology• Chemistry• Physics• Mathematics / Additional Mathematics• One (1) other subject, excluding Art / KSIAND
iv. Obtain at least Level 3.5 (Band 3.5) in MUET or an equivalent qualification.
AND
v. Excel in the interview assessment.
KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):i. Pass the KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.50.
AND
ii. Obtain at least Grade B (3.00) in three (3) of the following subjects:• Biology• Chemistry• Physics / MathematicsAND
iii. Obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in the following five (5) subjects:• Biology• Chemistry• Physics• Mathematics / Additional Mathematics• One (1) other subject, excluding Arts / KSIAND
iv. Obtain at least Band 3.5 in MUET or an equivalent qualification.
AND
v. Excel in the interview assessment.
Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:Possess a Diploma in Health Sciences or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.50And
The program must be at least 5 semesters or 2 ½ years in duration at the same institution.
And
Obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in any two (2) of the following subjects:- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
And
Obtain at least a Credit at the SPM level in three (3) of the following subjects:- English Language
- Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
- One (1) other subject
OR
Pass A-Level with grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in three (3) of the following subjects:- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics / Mathematics
OR
New Zealand University Entrance, Bursaries & Scholarship Examination CandidatesPass the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 / New Zealand Bursary with a minimum average of 80% in three (3) of the following subjects:- Biology
