    The DDS programme is a five-year programme. Its curriculum is integrated, problem-based and community oriented.

    Year 1 : Basic Foundation in Medical and Dental Sciences
    Year 2 : Pre-Clinical Dental and Medical Sciences & Medical Clinical Sciences
    Year 3, 4 & 5 : Dental Clinical Sciences, Community Engagement & Research

  • REQUIREMENTS

    • STPMKPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
      STPM:

      i. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with a minimum CGPA of 3.50

      AND

      ii. Obtain at least Grade B (NGMP 3.00) in three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics T

      AND

      iii. Obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in five (5) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics
      • Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
      • One (1) other subject, excluding Art / KSI

      AND

      iv. Obtain at least Level 3.5 (Band 3.5) in MUET or an equivalent qualification.

      AND

      v. Excel in the interview assessment.
      KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):

      i. Pass the KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.50.

      AND

      ii. Obtain at least Grade B (3.00) in three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics

      AND

      iii. Obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in the following five (5) subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics
      • Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
      • One (1) other subject, excluding Arts / KSI

      AND

      iv. Obtain at least Band 3.5 in MUET or an equivalent qualification.

      AND

      v. Excel in the interview assessment.
      Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:
      Possess a Diploma in Health Sciences or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.50

      And

      The program must be at least 5 semesters or 2 ½ years in duration at the same institution.

      And

      Obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in any two (2) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics

      And

      Obtain at least a Credit at the SPM level in three (3) of the following subjects:
      • English Language
      • Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
      • One (1) other subject

      OR

      Pass A-Level with grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics

      OR

      New Zealand University Entrance, Bursaries & Scholarship Examination Candidates
      Pass the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 / New Zealand Bursary with a minimum average of 80% in three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics

      OR

      Australian High School Candidates
      Pass any of the following qualifications:
      Monash University Foundation Pre-University Program (MUFY) / University of New South Wales (UNSW) Foundation / Western Australia Curriculum Council / HSC Sydney, Australia / Trinity College Foundation Studies / Australian Universities Foundation Programs / South Australian Matriculation (SAM) / Victorian Certificate of Education, Australia Year 12 or equivalent
      With a minimum average of 80% or equivalent to Grade B in three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics

      Or

      Obtain an ATAR of 80%, including:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics

      OR

      Indian Pre-University Candidates
      Pass with a minimum average of 70% or equivalent to Grade B in any three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics

      OR

      International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme
      Obtain a minimum total score of 30

      And

      Obtain at least a score of 5 in any three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics
      With at least two (2) subjects at Higher Level (HL) and one (1) subject at Standard Level (SL).

      OR

      Canadian Pre-University (CPU) / Canadian International Matriculation Program (CIMP) / Canadian Grade 12/13
      Pass with a minimum average of 80% in three (3) of the following subjects:
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics / Mathematics

      OR

      Degree Holders
      i. Degree in Medical Sciences (MBBS or equivalent)
      Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      And

      Pass a bridging course at Year 2 before entering Year 3

      Note: Candidates may be exempted from year 1 (direct entry into Year 2) and may also receive exemptions for relevant courses (e.g., Basic Medical Sciences, General Surgery, and General Medicine)

      OR

      ii. Degree in Science / Life Sciences
      Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      OR

      iii. Degree in Arts or Humanities
      Obtain a minimum CGPA of 4.00

      AND

      Obtain at least Band 3.5 in MUET or an equivalent English language qualification

      AND

      Excel in the interview assessment
