MSc (Clinical Anatomy) - School of Medical Sciences


OVERVIEW

The main objective is to Produce master of science graduates in human anatomy that are knowledgeable, highly skilled, professional, ethical and able to contribute to national development. The programme consists of four semesters. The first two semesters consist of basic training in the form of lectures, presentations, practicals, online learning, assignments and student-directed learning. Candidates would be exposed to clinical anatomy content in these sessions. Research work and dissertation writing are to be carried out during the last two semesters. The course covers various anatomy subjects as mentioned in the course curriculum.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should possess the following:

To join the Master of Science (Clinical Anatomy) programme, the candidate must have one of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Bachelor of Dentistry or Bachelor of Veterinary Science from a local university or from a university approved by the University Senate; or
  • A Bachelor's Degree containing human anatomy subjects such as Health Sciences, Biomedical, Pharmaceutical or its equivalent from local universities or from universities approved by the University Senate provided the following additional requirements are fulfilled:
    a) Obtained CGPA (out of 4.00) of more than 3.00 or CGPA of 2.75 to 3.00 with at least 3 years’ experience in relevant fields
    b) At least grade B in human anatomy subjects
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

(Applicable for International Applicants Only)

The minimum score for each programme can be vary from the below list, candidates are required to check for each programme requirements.

  • A minimum score of 40 for TOEFL (Internet-based); or
  • A minimum of Band 7.5 for TOEFL Essentials (Online); or
  • A minimum of Band 5 for IELTS; or
  • A minimum score of 47 for PTE; or
  • A minimum score of 154 for Cambridge English (CAE/CPE); or
  • A minimum score of 154 for Linguaskill Online; or
  • A minimum of Band 3.5 for MUET

Exemption is given to candidate if:

  • English is the candidate’s mother tongue or National Language; or
  • Candidate graduated from an Institution of Higher Learning in which the medium of instruction at Bachelor and/or Master degree level is English (statement of proof required)
