OVERVIEW
1. Digital Communication
Digital communication drives changes in every facet of life, including in political economy, global media system, culture and trade. This specialization provides students with the opportunity to learn essential digital communication competencies including media analytics, content ideation and social media management.
2. Journalism
Digital technologies have revolutionized journalism, including news production and distribution. In line with the changes, this specialization prepares students for the contemporary and future practice of journalism. It entails utilization of new tools, big data and multiple platforms.
3. Strategic Communication
The advancement of communication including in areas such as health, sustainable development and marketing leads to the increased importance of strategic communication. In this specialization, students learn on the need for purposeful communication to achieve organizational objectives. This includes public relations, branding and media management.
4. Creative Screen
Blurred lines between film and television and the rise of the streaming media characterize changes in the creative industries. In this specialization, students are exposed to the theory and practice of creative screen including screen writing, screen advocacy and screen production for multiple platforms.School of Communication,

REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):- Passed SPM/SPMV or an equivalent qualification with a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Malaysia (July Paper) and a pass in History.
- Obtained at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or an equivalent qualification within one (1) year from the date of registration.
Note:
Passing the History subject at the SPM level has been mandatory since 2013.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):- Lulus SPM/ SPMV/ setaraf dengan mendapat KEPUJIAN dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia/ Bahasa Malaysia Julai dan lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 2 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) atau setaraf dalam tempoh satu (1) tahun dari tarikh mendaftar
