OVERVIEW
The Civil Engineering programme emphasizes on Enviromental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resourses Engineering, Transportation & Highway Engineering, Structural Engineering and Geomatic Engineering & Management.
Civil Engineers are creative and innovative profesionals who solve problem of people and shape the world for a better and sustainable future. They design and construct buildings, bridges, roads, railways, ports, airports, dams, power plants, underground structures, water treatment plants and so on.
The School has formally adopted the Outcome Based Education (OBE) system since 2006/2007 academic session to fulfill the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) requirements for undergraduate engineering programmes in Malaysia. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil Engineering) programme has been awarded 5 years full accreditation from 2014 to 2018. In the latest new cycle accreditation exercise, the programme was granted full six years accreditation by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) from 2019-2024.

REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):- Passed SPM/SPMV or its equivalent with HONOURS in the subjects of Malay Language/Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Malaysia July and Mathematics, and passed the subject of History.
- Achieved at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or its equivalent within one (1) year from the registration date.
Note:
Passing the History subject at the SPM level is effective starting from the year 2013.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):- Lulus SPM/ SPMV/ setaraf dengan mendapat KEPUJIAN dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia/ Bahasa Malaysia Julai dan Mathematics serta lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 2 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) atau setaraf dalam tempoh satu (1) tahun dari tarikh mendaftar

Lulus mata pelajaran Sejarah di peringkat SPM berkuatkuasa mulai tahun 2013.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):- PRIORITY will be given to candidates who have qualifications in Pure Science subjects or other relevant additional qualifications.
AND
- Have at least five (5) years of work experience in a related field.
AND
- Pass the written test and excel in the interview evaluation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):- KEUTAMAAN akan diberikan kepada calon-calon yang mempunyai kelulusan dalam mata pelajaran Sains Tulen atau kelulusan tambahan lain yang bersesuaian
