OVERVIEW
ANIMAL AND PLANT BIODIVERSITY
The primary objective of this programme is to provide students with various aspects of animals and plants biodiversity, including preservation of biodiversity, deforestation, pollution, encroachment, habitat loss, and the potential for species extinction. The subject matter covered including but not limited to ecological systems, classification and evolutionary relationships of plants and animals, physiological and developmental processes, economic aspects of botany, invertebrate and vertebrate zoology, genetic and genomic of plants and animals, interactions between animals and plants, and fundamental principles underlying animal behaviour.MICROBIOLOGY
Microbiology imparts knowledge on microbial diversity comprising bacteria, fungi, yeast and viruses, and to understand the role of microorganisms in agriculture, food, medicine, and environment. This field integrates knowledge on various groups of microorganisms, their metabolism, genetic and growth which include their pathogenesis, transmission, prevention, survival, diversity, and laboratory diagnosis. Graduated with SPM / SPMV or its equivalent with CREDIT in the subject of Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Malaysia July and passed the subject of History.

Achieved at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or its equivalent within one (1) year from the date of registration.
Note:
The requirement to pass the History subject at the SPM level is effective from the year 2013.
