Master of Islamic-Based Development Management -

Introduction
The Centre of Islamic Development Management (ISDEV) offers two post-graduate degrees, Master of Islamic Development Management by research. However, students for the degree of Master of Islamic Development Management are required to successfully complete two preparatory post-graduate level courses. Students who lack the necessary background in the discipline they are applying for may be required to successfully complete undergraduate level courses as specified by the Sections concerned. Both the M.Islamic Development Management and Ph.D. degrees are offered on a full-time and part-time basis.

1. Graduate Seminar (Research Proposal Presentation)
Candidates are required to prepare a research proposal in consultation with the supervisor. The research proposal will then be circulated amongst Section members before presentation at a seminar. The seminar shall be chaired by a member of the Section and attended by academic staff of the Section and other post-graduate students. The candidate shall then undertake to make the necessary amendments to the proposal as suggested by the Section and submit it to the supervisor for approval. On approval of the research proposal, the candidate shall then proceed with his/her research and thesis proper.
2. Thesis
Candidates are required to produce a Master Islamic Development Management thesis. This shall be done in consultation with the supervisor. A thesis should not exceed 50,000 words. The thesis shall be evaluated by an External Examiner (one) and an Internal Examiner (one). On receipt of their reports the candidate is required to defend his/her thesis at a viva organised by the Thesis Examination Committee of the University. The candidate must notify the Registrar in writing of the intention to submit the thesis three months prior to submission. This can only be carried out after the supervisor and ISDEV Director are satisfied that all the necessary requirements have been fulfilled and all work completed satisfactorily.

A. Bachelor's degree in related field with
- CGPA of at least 3.00 / 4.00; or
- CGPA below 3.00/4.00 with the additional conditions
- Not Applicable
- Full-time: Min 2 semesters / Max 6 semesters
- Part-time: Min 4 semesters / Max 12 semesters
