The only programme in Malaysia that offers specialization in mining and/or quarrying and processing of metallic and non-metallic minerals through conventional and advanced technologies. This programme also includes simulation and modelling approaches, especially for mining and plant design as well as comminution and sizing related circuit design.

REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):- Passed SPM / SPMV / or equivalent with CREDIT in the subjects of Malay Language / Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Malaysia July and passed the subject of History.
- Achieved at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent within one (1) year from the date of registration.
Note:
Passing the History subject at the SPM level is effective from the year 2013.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):- Lulus SPM/ SPMV/ setaraf dengan mendapat KEPUJIAN dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia/ Bahasa Malaysia Julai dan lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 2 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) atau setaraf dalam tempoh satu (1) tahun dari tarikh mendaftar

- Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate Examination (STPM) with at least a CGPA of 2.00
- Obtained at least a Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in the following subjects:
- General Studies
- Biology / Physics / Chemistry
- Mathematics T / Further Mathematics
OR
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 2.00 at the PRE-UNIVERSITY level
AND
- Has experience as a state or national athlete who is still actively involved for at least three (3) years
Note:
- The candidate does not have any vision impairment (color blindness) (for the Mineral Engineering program only).
- The candidate does not have any physical disabilities that would hinder practical work.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):CALON STPM/ SETARAF
- Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang – kurangnya PNGK 2.00
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred C (NGMP 2.00) dalam mata pelajaran berikut:

- Mathematics T/ Further Mathematics
ATAU
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.00 pada peringkat PRA-UNIVERSITI
DAN
- Mempunyai pengalaman sebagai atlet negeri atau negara yang masih bergiat aktif sekurang-kurangnya tiga (3) tahun

- Calon tidak mempunyai ketidakupayaan penglihatan (buta warna) (untuk program Kejuruteraan Sumber Mineral sahaja).
