OVERVIEW
Bachelor of Arts with Honors is offered through the following specializations:
1. Malay Language Linguistics
2. English Language Studies
3. Geography
4. Literature
5. HistoryObjectives:
1. To raise awareness that any knowledge learned is only the foundation for a continuous lifelong learning process.
2. To provide an academic foundation in the relevant discipline, in line with the content of the degree awarded, as a broad and comprehensive education.
3. To equip students with knowledge and soft skills, including appropriate job training, and to produce graduates who are balanced and capable in life and work.Graduation Requirement :
1. Foundation (including Humanitise Module and Major) : 72 Units
2. Open Elective Courses : 20 Units
3. Electives : 10 Units
4. University Course : 18 - 22 Units
Total : 120 Unit
Malay Language Linguistics:
This program focuses on the study and research in the field of linguistics using data from the Malay language, Malay dialects in Malaysia and the Malay Archipelago, as well as other languages and dialects found in Malaysia. The program emphasizes theoretical aspects and the application of linguistic theories in subfields of linguistics to language data, such as general linguistics, phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, discourse, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and comparative linguistics.English Language Studies (ELS):
This programme aims to produce graduates who are competent and knowledgeable in language and linguistics. This programme also trains students to analyse literary texts effectively and hone their communication skills in order to attain excellence at the international level. Students are given ample opportunities to analyse concepts and theories in the field of English Language Studies throughout the duration of the course. Such skills will enhance the students’ ability to apply the principles that they have learned, particularly in dealing with people, communicating and managing information at the workplace.Geography :
Geography is the science of space that studies physical phenomena, namely the natural environment of the earth's surface, and human or social elements within that space. The focus is on the interaction between humans, as inhabitants of the earth, and the environment, along with its implications, particularly in terms of modifying the earth's surface for the benefit of human life.Literature:
Literature, as a discipline, encompasses the study of the history, theory, and critique of traditional and modern literary works. Students will be trained to appreciate literary works and apply artistic knowledge and creativity in life. They will also be nurtured with human capital values as a foundation for nation-building. The study material includes local and international literary works, covering oral literature, traditional and modern texts in new media formats. The approach used is a comparative analysis of works in a circular, center-focused manner, covering works from the Malay world, Asia, Africa, Europe, and America.History:
The history of Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Asia, and Modern Europe is taught in this program. The key aspects emphasized include social, political, and economic changes in societies, issues of imperialism, theories and methodologies in historical studies, ideologies, intellectualism and historical thought, historiography, nationalist movements, and modernization.School of Humanities,

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):- Passed SPM / SPMV / or equivalent with CREDIT in the subjects of Malay Language / Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Malaysia July and passed the subject of History.
- Achieved at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent within one (1) year from the date of registration.
Note:
Passing the History subject at the SPM level is effective starting from the year 2013.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):- Lulus SPM/ SPMV/ setaraf dengan mendapat KEPUJIAN dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia/ Bahasa Malaysia Julai dan lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 2 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) atau setaraf dalam tempoh satu (1) tahun dari tarikh mendaftar
