  • OVERVIEW

    The Program of Bachelor of Education (Biology) with Honours aims to produce professional, dedicated, and innovative Biology educators. This program emphasizes mastery of both theoretical knowledge and integrated practices in Biology teaching, enabling graduates to become competent Biology teachers up to the Form Six/ Pre-University level. Additionally, it provides a strong foundation for students to understand the holistic processes of teaching and learning Biology, including the integration of technology and contemporary teaching methods.

    Semester Offered : Semester 1 (October)

  • REQUIREMENTS

    • STPMKPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
      STPM:

      i. Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics T

      AND

      iii. Passed the Mathematics subject at the SPM level.

      AND

      iv. Obtained at least Band 4 in MUET or its equivalent.

      AND

      v. Passed the MEDSI test and excellent in the interview.

      Note:
      Candidates must not have any physical disabilities or health issues that could affect their studies and teaching profession.
      KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):

      i. Passed Matriculation (KPM) / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • Mathematics
      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Biology
      • Computer Science / Programming / Computing

      AND

      iii. Passed the Mathematics subject at the SPM level.

      AND

      iv. Obtained at least Band 4 in MUET or its equivalent.

      AND

      v. Passed the MEDSI test and excellent in the interview.

      Note:
      Candidates must not have any physical disabilities or health issues that could affect their studies and teaching profession.
      Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:

      i. Diploma in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in relevant subjects at the Diploma level (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology) for the applied program.

      OR

      iii. Equivalent qualification recognized by Senate of the University.

      iv. Passed the Mathematics subject at the SPM level.

      AND

      v. Obtained at least Band 4 in MUET or its equivalent.

      AND

      vi. Passed the MEDSI test and excellent in the interview.

    • STPMMatrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTMDiploma / Setaraf – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM dan lain-lain
      STPM:

      i. Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      DAN

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (NGMP 3.00) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Matematics T


      DAN

      iii. Lulus dalam mata pelajaran Matematik pada peringkat SPM.

      DAN

      iv. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 4 (Band 4) dalam MUET atau setaraf

      DAN

      v. Lulus ujian MEDSI dan cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga.

      Calon tidak mempunyai ketidakupayaan fizikal atau masalah kesihatan yang boleh menjejaskan pengajian dan profesion perguruan.
      Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM:

      i. Lulus Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (3.00) pada dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      Memiliki Diploma dalam bidang yang berkaitan dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (NGMP 3.00) pada peringkat DIPLOMA dalam mata pelajaran berkaitan yang dipohon (Matematik, Fizik, Kimia atau Biologi)


      ATAU


      Mempunyai kelulusan lain yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya dan diperakukan oleh Senat Universiti.

      DAN

      Lulus dalam mata pelajaran Matematik pada peringkat SPM.

      Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 4 (Band 4) dalam MUET atau setaraf
