OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Science in Physics with Honours offers a rigorous first-year curriculum that establishes a strong foundation in fundamental physics. Students will explore core areas including Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Vibrations and Waves, Modern Physics, and Electronics. The program provides students with the essential knowledge and skills for advanced study, with the option to specialize in one of three tracks: Pure Physics, Electronics and Semiconductor, or Optics and Photonics

REQUIREMENTS

STPM KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others STPM:i. Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least a CGPA of 2.75.
AND
ii. Achieved at least a Grade B (NGMP 3.00) in the following subjects:
- Physics
- Mathematics T
AND
iii. Achieved at least a Grade C at the SPM level in the following subjects:
- Physics
- Additional Mathematics
KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):i. Passed Matriculation (KPM) / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with at least a CGPA of 2.75.
AND
ii. Achieved at least a Grade B (3.00) in the following subjects:
- Physics / Engineering Physics
- Mathematics
- Biology / Chemistry / Computer Science / Programming / Computing / Engineering Chemistry / Basic Engineering / Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
AND
iii. Achieved at least a Grade C at the SPM level in the following subjects:
- Physics
- Additional Mathematics
Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:Diploma in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.75.
OR
Passed A-Level with a minimum score of 10 and achieve at least a Grade B in the following subjects:
- Physics
- Mathematics
OR
Passed the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 28 and achieve at least a score of 5 at the High Level (HL) in the following subjects:
- Physics
- Mathematics
And
Achieved at least a score of 5 at the Standard Level (SL) in the subject of Further Mathematics.
OR
Passed AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate score of 68 and achieve at least a Grade B in the following subjects:
- Physics
- Mathematics Studies
OR
Equivalent qualification recognized by Senate of the University.
Achieve at least a Grade C at the SPM level in the following subjects:
- Physics
- Additional Mathematics
