  • OVERVIEW

    The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles and techniques of acting and directing, as well as a deep understanding of the historical and cultural contexts of theater and film. Students will learn how to analyze texts, create characters, and communicate effectively with audiences through a range of performance styles and techniques.

    In addition to practical training in acting and directing, students will also study the technical aspects of production, such as lighting, sound, and set design. They will learn about the business aspects of the industry, such as marketing, funding, and self-promotion, and will have the opportunity to work on productions both on and off-campus.

    The program is taught by experienced faculty members who are experts in their field, and who provide students with the guidance and support they need to develop their skills and reach their full potential. Students will also have the opportunity to work with visiting artists, who will provide additional training and insight into the industry.

    Upon graduation, students will be well-prepared to pursue careers in acting and directing for stage and screen, as well as related fields such as film and television production, screenwriting, and theater management. They may also choose to further their studies in a related field at the postgraduate level, such as theater or film studies.
