  • OVERVIEW

    The Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree programme was launched by the School of Management in 1999. It is recognised under Part I of the First Schedule, Accountants Act 1967. This means that graduates will be recognised as Chartered Accountants by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) after gaining three years of relevant working experience under the MIA's Chartered Accountant’s Relevant Experience (CARE) programme. The programme is also recognised by other Malaysian and international professional accounting bodies.

  • REQUIREMENTS

    • STPMKPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
      STPM:

      i. Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • Malay Language
      • Geography
      • History
      • Economics
      • Accounting
      • Business Studies
      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics M / Mathematics T

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a Grade B in the subject of Principles of Accounting at the SPM level.

      AND

      iv. Excellent in the interview.
      KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):

      i. Passed Matriculation (KPM) / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)  with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • Chemistry
      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Mathematics

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a Grade B in the subject of Principles of Accounting at the SPM level.

      OR

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (3.00) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • Accounting
      • Financial Accounting
      • Management Accounting
      • Business Management
      • Business and Technology
      • Economics
      • Mathematics

      OR

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (3.00) in three (3) specialization subjects at the Foundation in Law level.

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a Grade B in the subject of Principles of Accounting at the SPM level.

      AND

      iv. Excellent in the interview.
      Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:

      Diploma in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

      OR

      Passed A-Level with a minimum score of 9 and obtained at least a Grade C in any three (3) of the following subjects:

      • Literature in English
      • Economics
      • Accounting
      • Business Studies
      • Sociology

      OR

      Passed the International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 28 and obtained at least a score of 4 at the High Level (HL) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • English
      • Economics
      • Business and Management

      AND

      Obtained at least a score of 4 at the Standard Level (SL) in Mathematics.

      OR

      Passed AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate of 68 and obtained at least a Grade C in any three (3) of the following subjects:

      • English
      • Economics
      • Accounting
      • Business Management
      • Mathematics

      OR

      Equivalent qualification recognized by Senate of the University.

      AND

      Obtained at least a Grade B in the subject of Accounting at the SPM level if there is no equivalent qualification (Accounting) at the Diploma, A-Level, IB, AUSMAT/SAM, or other levels.

      AND

      Excellent in the interview.
    • STPMMatrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTMDiploma / Setaraf – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM dan lain-lain
      STPM:

      i. Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      DAN

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (NGMP 3.00) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Bahasa Melayu
      • Geografi
      • Sejarah
      • Ekonomi
      • Perakaunan
      • Pengajian Perniagaan
      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Chemistry
      • Mathematics M / Mathematics T

      DAN

      iii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B dalam mata pelajaran Prinsip Perakaunan pada peringkat SPM.

      DAN

      iv. Cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga.
      Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM:

      i. Lulus Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00

      DAN

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (3.00) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Chemistry
      • Biology
      • Physics
      • Mathematics

      Dan

      iii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B dalam mata pelajaran Prinsip Perakaunan pada peringkat SPM.


      ATAU


      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (3.00) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Accounting
      • Financial Accounting
      • Management Accounting
      • Pengurusan Perniagaan
      • Business and Technology
      • Ekonomi
      • Mathematics


      ATAU


      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (3.00) dalam tiga (3) mata pelajaran pengkhususan pada peringkat Asasi Undang-Undang.

      Dan

      iii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B dalam mata pelajaran Prinsip Perakaunan pada peringkat SPM.


      DAN

      iv. Cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga.
      Diploma / Setaraf – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM dan lain-lain:

      Memiliki Diploma dalam bidang yang berkaitan dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 3.00


      ATAU


      Lulus A-Level dengan memperolehi minimum skor 9 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred C dalam mana-mana tiga (3) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Literature in English
      • Economics
      • Accounting
      • Business Studies

      ATAU


      Lulus International Baccalaureate (IB) dengan memperolehi minimum skor 28 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya skor 4 di peringkat High Level (HL) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • English
      • Economics
      • Business and Management

      Dan

      Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya skor 4 di peringkat Standard Level (SL) mata pelajaran Mathematics.


      ATAU


      Lulus AUSMAT/SAM dengan memperolehi minimum agregat 68 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred C dalam mana-mana tiga (3) mata pelajaran berikut:

      ATAU

      Mempunyai kelulusan lain yang diiktiraf setaraf dengannya dan diperakukan oleh Senat Universiti.

      DAN

      Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B dalam mata pelajaran Perakaunan pada peringkat SPM sekiranya tiada kelayakan setara (Perakaunan) pada peringkat Diploma, A-Level, IB, AUSMAT/SAM atau kelayakan lain.

      Cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga.
