DIPLOMA IN NURSING

  • OVERVIEW

    The Diploma in Nursing Program at Universiti Sains Malaysia provides theoretical knowledge and clinical training in nursing sciences, behavioral sciences, biological sciences, and clinical experiences in the field of nursing. The curriculum of this program emphasizes interactive teaching and learning, alongside exposure to clinical settings at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital and clinics under the Ministry of Health Malaysia, following the academic standards set by the Malaysian Nursing Board. This program produces graduates who will become safe, responsible, and ethical practitioners dedicated to advancing the nursing profession.

      • Passed SPM / Equivalent
      • Credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (July Paper)
      • Passed in History
      GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):
      • Lulus SPM/ Setaraf
      • Kepujian dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu Kertas Julai
      • Lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah
    • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION)SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION)
      SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):

      i. Passed SPM/SPMV with THREE (3) credits in the following subjects:
      • Bahasa Melayu
      • Mathematics (Modern/Additional)
      • Science (Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science/Additional Science)

      AND

      ii. Passed in TWO (2) of the following subjects:
      • English
      • Any one (1) other subject

      AND

      iii. Excellence in the interview assessment

      Note:

      Candidates must meet the following health status requirements:
      • All candidates must be certified medically fit by a Registered Medical Officer within one month of enrolling in the nursing program.
      • Candidates are not allowed to enroll in the nursing program if they have the following health conditions:

      • HIV/AIDS
      • Hepatitis B
      • Hepatitis C
      • Mental health disorders
      • Epilepsy
      • Color blindness
        • Candidates must not have any physical or sensory impairments that may hinder their ability to perform nursing skills.
      SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):
      i. Lulus SPM/SPMV dengan TIGA (3) kepujian dalam mata pelajaran berikut: 
      • Bahasa Melayu
      • Matematik (Moden/Tambahan)
      • Sains (Sains/Biologi/Kimia/Fizik/Sains Gunaan/Sains Tambahan)
       
      DAN
       
      ii. Lulus dalam DUA (2) mata pelajaran berikut: 
      • Bahasa Inggeris 
      • mana-mana satu (1) mata pelajaran lain
       
      DAN
       
      iii. Cemerlang dalam penilaian temu duga 
       
       
      Nota :
      Calon perlu memenuhi syarat status kesihatan berikut :
      • Semua calon mesti disahkan sihat oleh Pegawai
      Perubatan Berdaftar dalam masa satu bulan daripada mengikuti program kejururawatan.
      • Calon tidak dibenarkan mengikuti program kejururawatan jika mempunyai masalah kesihatan berikut :
      - HIV / AIDS
      - Hepatitis B
      - Hepatitis C
      - Masalah kesihatan mental
      - Epilepsi
      - Buta warna
      • Calon tidak mempunyai sebarang ketidakupayaan fizikal atau ketidakupayaan deria yang boleh menghalang dalam melakukan kemahiran kejururawatan.
