    3. To equip students with knowledge and soft skills, including appropriate job training, and to produce graduates who are balanced and capable in life and work.

    Malay Language Linguistics:
This program focuses on the study and research in the field of linguistics using data from the Malay language, Malay dialects in Malaysia and the Malay Archipelago, as well as other languages and dialects found in Malaysia. The program emphasizes theoretical aspects and the application of linguistic theories in subfields of linguistics to language data, such as general linguistics, phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, discourse, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and comparative linguistics.

    English Language Studies (ELS):
This programme aims to produce graduates who are competent and knowledgeable in language and linguistics. This programme also trains students to analyse literary texts effectively and hone their communication skills in order to attain excellence at the international level. Students are given ample opportunities to analyse concepts and theories in the field of English Language Studies throughout the duration of the course. Such skills will enhance the students’ ability to apply the principles that they have learned, particularly in dealing with people, communicating and managing information at the workplace.

    Geography:
Geography is the science of space that studies physical phenomena, namely the natural environment of the earth's surface, and human or social elements within that space. The focus is on the interaction between humans, as inhabitants of the earth, and the environment, along with its implications, particularly in terms of modifying the earth's surface for the benefit of human life.

    Literature:
Literature, as a discipline, encompasses the study of the history, theory, and critique of traditional and modern literary works. Students will be trained to appreciate literary works and apply artistic knowledge and creativity in life. They will also be nurtured with human capital values as a foundation for nation-building. The study material includes local and international literary works, covering oral literature, traditional and modern texts in new media formats. The approach used is a comparative analysis of works in a circular, center-focused manner, covering works from the Malay world, Asia, Africa, Europe, and America.

    History:
The history of Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Asia, and Modern Europe is taught in this program. The key aspects emphasized include social, political, and economic changes in societies, issues of imperialism, theories and methodologies in historical studies, ideologies, intellectualism and historical thought, historiography, nationalist movements, and modernization.
