OVERVIEW

The Medical Radiation programme in the School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia is designed to provide theoretical and practical training experiences, which allow students to understand, able to explain and utilise ionising and non-ionising radiation in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. We aim to produce graduates who to fulfill the national requirements for trained personnel in the medical radiation science disciplines. This programme also opens up career opportunities in the field of diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy and medical radiation protection. Our competent graduates will help to ensure the safety of the patients, medical and health professionals and members of the general public.
