OVERVIEW
The Mathematic programme in the School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, is provides a broad-based and rigorous training in the following areas of the mathematical sciences: pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. It seeks to train students to think in a logical, structured and precise manner and thus enable them to be effective problem solvers in business, finance and industrial organization. The training will also equip them to pursue studies at the postgraduate level in various areas of the mathematical sciences.

- Completed 12 years of Primary and High School Education and
- Obtained High School Certificate (eg. A‐Level, HSC, SMU, & Matayom Suksa 6 (Thailand), International Baccalaureate ) or

- IELTS/IELTS Online minimum Band 5.0 or
- TOEFL iBT minimum score of 40 or
- TOEFL Essentials Online minimum score of 7.5 or
- Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) minimum score of 154 or
- Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) minimum score of 154 or
- Cambridge English: Linguaskill Online minimum score of 154 or
- PTE Academic / PTE Academic (Online) minimum score of 47 or
- ELS Certified Intensive English Programme Level (CIEP Level) 107 or
- Malaysian University English Test minimum Band 3.5
- Candidate from an institution in which the medium of instruction is English
Without any of the above English proficiency certificates, accepted students will be issued with a conditional offer letter to fulfill the English language requirements.
