  • OVERVIEW

    The INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY program emphasizes on the use of fundamental chemistry such as physical, organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry within industrial applications . This program aims to improve practical skills and analytical skills relevant to industrial processes. The program specializes in materials, operational units, industrial chemistry, safety issues and chemical processing. It also provides connections for pathways to other science-based fields.

  • REQUIREMENTS

      GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):
      • Passed SPM/SPMV or an equivalent qualification with a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Malaysia (July Paper) and a pass in History.
      • Obtained at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or an equivalent qualification within one (1) year from the date of registration.

      Note:

      Passing the History subject at the SPM level has been a requirement since 2013.
      GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):
      • Lulus SPM/ SPMV/ setaraf dengan mendapat KEPUJIAN dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia/ Bahasa Malaysia Julai dan lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah
      • Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 2 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) atau setaraf dalam tempoh satu (1) tahun dari tarikh mendaftar

      Lulus mata pelajaran Sejarah di peringkat SPM berkuatkuasa mulai tahun 2013

      Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) examination with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.
      Achieved at least a Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in the following subjects:

      • General Studies
      • Physics
      • Mathematics T / Further Mathematics
      • Chemistry

      OR

      Achieved at least a CGPA of 2.00 at the Pre-University level

      AND

      Has experience as a state or national athlete who has been actively involved for at least three (3) years.
      SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):

      • Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang – kurangnya PNGK 2.00

        • Fizik
        • Mathematics T/ Further Mathematics
        • Kimia

      ATAU

      • Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.00 pada peringkat PRA-UNIVERSITI

      Mempunyai pengalaman sebagai atlet negeri atau negara yang masih bergiat aktif sekurang-kurangnya tiga (3) tahun

  • LIST OF COURSE

    • Basic chemistry, basic laboratory skills and chemical safety and security.

    • Intermediate Organic, Inorganic, Physcial and Analytical Chemistry. Introduction to Material Chemistry.

    • Polymer chemistry, unit operations and related industrial laboratory courses. Introduction to Research Methodology and Chemistry Project.

    • Selected applied industrial chemistry courses. Industrial Training is compulsory in the final semester.
