  • REQUIREMENTS

    • STPMKPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM)Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others
      STPM:

      i. Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in the following subjects:

      • Biology / Physics / Chemistry
      • Mathematics T / Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a Grade C in the subject of Additional Mathematics at the SPM level.

       

      Additional Requirement for Alternative USM+1 Channel : Excellent in the interview
      KPM Matriculation / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM):

      i. Passed Matriculation (KPM) / Foundation Studies (UM/UKM/UiTM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75

      AND

      ii. Obtained at least a Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in the following subjects:

      • Mathematics
      • Physics / Engineering Physics / Chemistry / Engineering Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Programming / Computing

      AND

      iii. Obtained at least a Grade C in the subject of Additional Mathematics at the SPM level.

       

      Additional Requirement for Alternative USM+1 Channel : Excellent in the interview
      Diploma / Equivalent – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM, and others:

      Diploma in Computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.75

      OR

      Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)  in Computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.75

      OR

      A-Levels with a minimum score of 10 and obtained at least a Grade B in any three (3) of the following subjects:

      • Physics
      • Computing
      • Chemistry / Biology
      • Mathematics / Further Mathematics

      OR

      International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum score of 28 and obtained at least a score of 5 at Higher Level (HL) in any two (2) of the following subjects:

      • English
      • Physics
      • Chemistry / Biology

      AND

      Obtained at least a score of 5 at Standard Level (SL) in one (1) of the following subjects:

      • Mathematics

      OR

      AUSMAT/SAM with a minimum aggregate score of 68 and obtained at least a Grade B in any three (3) of the following subjects:

      • English
      • Mathematics
      • Physics
      • Chemistry / Biology

      OR

      Equivalent qualification recognized by Senate of the University.

      AND

      Obtained at least a Grade C in the subject of Additional Mathematics / equivalent at the SPM level / Equivalent.

      STPM:

      i. Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.75

      DAN

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (NGMP 3.00) dalam mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Biology / Physics / Chemistry
      • Mathematics T / Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

      DAN

      iii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred C dalam mata pelajaran Matematik Tambahan pada peringkat SPM

       

      Syarat tambahan untuk Saluran Alternatif USM+1 : Cemerlang dalam temu duga
      Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM:

      i. Lulus Matrikulasi KPM / Asasi UM / Asasi UKM / Asasi UiTM dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.75

      DAN

      ii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B (3.00) dalam mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Mathematics
      • Physics / Engineering Physics / Chemistry / Engineering Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Programming / Computing

      iii. Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred C dalam mata pelajaran Matematik Tambahan pada peringkat SPM

      Diploma / Setaraf – A-Level, IB, AUSMAT, SAM dan lain-lain:

      Memiliki Diploma dalam bidang komputeran dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.75

      ATAU

      Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) dalam bidang pengkomputeran dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.75

      ATAU

      Lulus A-Level dengan memperolehi minimum skor 10 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B dalam mana-mana tiga (3) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Physics
      • Computing
      • Chemistry / Biology
      • Mathematics / Further Mathematics

      ATAU

      Lulus International Baccalaureate (IB) dengan memperolehi minimum skor 28 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya skor 5 di peringkat High Level (HL) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • English
      • Physics
      • Chemistry / Biology

      Dan

      Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya skor 5 di peringkat Standard Level (SL) dalam satu (1) mata pelajaran berikut:

      • Mathematics

      ATAU

      Lulus AUSMAT/SAM dengan memperolehi minimum agregat 68 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Gred B

  • LIST OF COURSE

    • Basics of Computer Science such as algorithms and problem solving, programming techniques using a high-level language, data structures, computer organisation and a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, logic, artificial intelligence and data analytics. 

    • Operating systems, computer networks and security, analysis of algorithms, database organisation, and foundations of software engineering. Practical and project-based courses namely integrated software development, and group innovation project and study for sustainability are also offered.

    • Year III offer an integrated and a wide range of specialise courses according to the field chosen. Students will be able to enrich their specialization with electives and additional knowledge via free modules or minor courses from discipline outside computer science. During the second semester and the long vacation of the third-year students will be assigned to various organisations for a full-time industrial training for a period of six months.

    • Students will be finishing specialization, elective courses and to undertake a course on professional and technopreneurs development. Students are also required to complete their Final Year project according to the field chosen under the supervision of at least one academic staff
