OVERVIEW
This programme is the first forensic science programme offered in Malaysia. It is a very popular programme and is in high demand among prospective students. Students will be exposed to the latest knowledge and technologies in the field of Forensic Science via courses which have been developed meticulously. Teaching staff of the School together with others from the Medical and Dental Schools of USM, Department of Chemistry Malaysia, the Fire and Rescue Department, and the Royal Malaysia Police will ensure the programme to run smoothly and in an excellent manner. This programme is expected to help cater for the national requirements for forensic scientists needed in the country.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):Pass in SPM/SPMV or an equivalent qualification with Honors in the following subjects:
- Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Malaysia July
- Mathematics
- Pass in History
Achieve at least Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or an equivalent test within one (1) year from the registration date.
Note:
- The requirement to pass History at the SPM level has been in effect since 2013.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):- Lulus SPM/ SPMV/ setaraf dengan mendapat KEPUJIAN dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia/ Bahasa Malaysia Julai dan Mathematics serta lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 2 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) atau setaraf dalam tempoh satu (1) tahun dari tarikh mendaftar

Lulus mata pelajaran Sejarah di peringkat SPM berkuatkuasa mulai tahun 2013

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (ENGLISH VERSION):- Have at least five (5) years of continuous work experience in a related field such as Forensic Science, Health Science, or Investigations (e.g., Police Officer, Firefighter, Assistant Science Officer, Health Inspector, Medical Assistant, Nurse, or similar roles)
OR
- Have at least three (3) years of work experience in the related field if the CGPA of the recognized Diploma in the relevant field is less than 2.75
AND
- Achieve at least Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) within one (1) year from the registration date
AND
- Excel in the interview assessment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (MALAY VERSION):- Mempunyai pengalaman kerja sekurang-kurangnya lima (5) tahun secara berterusan dalam bidang berkaitan Sains Forensik/ Sains Kesihatan/ Penyiasatan seperti Pegawai Polis, Pegawai Bomba, Penolong Pegawai Sains, Inspektor Kesihatan, Pembantu Perubatan, Jururawat dan seumpamanya
ATAU
- Mempunyai pengalaman bekerja dalam bidang yang berkaitan sekurang-kurangnya tiga (3) tahun jika PNGK Diploma yang diiktiraf dalam bidang yang berkaitan kurang daripada 2.75
DAN
- Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Band 3 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET) dalam tempoh satu (1) tahun dari tarikh mendaftar
