DrPH in Health System Management -

The Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Health System Management (HSM) is a professional graduate programme in the field of Public Health. It is established to train Community Medicine Specialists/Public Health Specialists who are knowledgeable and skilful in the speciality of Health System Management. The thrust of the programme is the professional development of candidates, i.e. strengthening their abilities to solve community health problem while enhancing their competencies in conducting research.
The programme is divided into two parts:
- Part 1 (Year 1) consists of course work
- Part 2 (Year 2 and 3) consists of a research project and field attachment

The core courses are Public Health Epidemiology, Multivariable Analysis, and Health Policy and Ethics. These are compulsory for all candidates, irrespective of their chosen speciality. The structure for speciality courses may vary between specialities and are divided across two semesters.

Applicants should possess the following:
- Master of Public Health with CGPA 3.20/4.00 and above; or
- Master of Community Medicine
(Applicable for International Applicants Only)
The minimum score for each programme can be vary from the below list, candidates are required to check for each programme requirements.
- A minimum score of 40 for TOEFL (Internet-based); or
- A minimum of Band 7.5 for TOEFL Essentials (Online); or
- A minimum of Band 5 for IELTS; or
- A minimum score of 47 for PTE; or
- A minimum score of 154 for Cambridge English (CAE/CPE); or
- A minimum score of 154 for Linguaskill Online; or
- A minimum of Band 3.5 for MUET
Exemption is given to candidate if:
- English is the candidate’s mother tongue or National Language; or
- Candidate graduated from an Institution of Higher Learning in which the medium of instruction at Bachelor and/or Master degree level is English (statement of proof required)
