GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENT
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT
- Completed 12 years of Primary and High School Education and
- Obtained High School Certificate (eg. A-Level, HSC, SMU & Matayom Suksa 6 (Thailand), International Baccalaureate etc.) or
- Diploma in the related field
ENTRY QUALIFICATION FOR INTERNATIONAL BY COUNTRY
ENGLISH REQUIREMENT
- IELTS minimum Band 5.0 or
- TOEFL iBT minimum score of 40 or
- TOEFL Essentials Online minimum score of 7.5 or
- Cambridge English : Advanced (CAE) minimum score of 154 or
- Cambridge English : Proficiency (CPE) minimum score of 154 or
- Cambridge English : Linguaskill Online minimum score of 154 or
- PTE Academic / PTE Academic (Online) minimum score of 47 or
- Malaysian University English Test minimum Band 3.5 or
- Candidates from countries where English is the official language or
- Candidate from an institution in which the medium instruction is English; and
- Passed with Credit in Intensive Preparatory Bahasa Malaysia Programme (for candidates pursuing programmes conducted in the National Language)

HOW TO APPLY
- All application must be submitted via online at International@USM. You will need to register to create an account or to log in if you have previously applied online. The system will automatically generate a reference number which will be send to the registered email.
THINGS TO BE PREPARED FOR ONLINE APPLICATION:
- Official certificates, transcripts, mark sheets or school report from each secondary or college attended
- Translated copy of certificates (if issued other than English or Malay Language)
- IELTS/TOEFL/MUET/CAE/CPE/PTE/Authorization Letter from an institution in which the medium instruction is English
- Copy of passport (Details page only in A4 size)
Student Pass (if study in Malaysia)
Letter of scholarship (if any) - Receipt of processing fee payment
A processing fee of RM100 is applicable for every application submitted. Payment can be made using the following mode: - Cash at the USM Bursary Counter

ACCOMMODATION
STUDENT CAN OPT FOR ON-CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION OR OFF-CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION
On-Campus Accommodation is equipped with a single room or a twin-sharing room, common bathroom, cafeteria, laundry room, sport facility, study room, pantry and groceries store. Rental for on-campus accommodation is from USD30 - USD75 per month (not inclusive of meals). Most of the condominium/apartments are equipped with 3 bedrooms, air-conditioned, groceries store, gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis/badminton court and laundry shop.
Rental for off-campus accommodation is from USD75 - USD125 per month (not including utility bills).
ESTIMATED COST OF LIVING
Depending on the needs and lifestyle of each student, the estimated cost is inclusive of food, accommodation, books, entertainment, travelling and miscellaneous.- Tuition Fee from USD3,125 per year
- Accommodation on-campus from USD276 per year
- Other expenses from USD2,500.00 per year

APPLICATION INFORMATION
Applications for undergraduate studies are open throughout the year but there are still cut-off dates as below:
Semester 1 (October Intake ) : 31 July
Semester 2 (March Intake ) : 31 JanuaryIt is important to check the cut-off dates for the choosen programme. Applications received before the cut-off date will be processed promptly, whereas applications received after the cut-off date will be processed for the next intake. Please be informed that only selected programmes are offered in Semester 2 (March).
